David Szymanski is a commercial and editorial photographer. He considers himself a storyteller and tries to capture the essence of his subjects in his portraits. His favorite projects involve documenting hidden gems or showcasing a common occurrence in a new light.  

The son of travel-agency owning parents; he was born with a love of travel and adventure. This free spirit has led him to tour Europe shooting metal bands, wading through a river to capture the perfect portrait, and feeling the G-forces when flying in a T-6 plane on assignment -- because, why not?! Spending time as a staff photographer at a city magazine, he honed his skills shooting a wide variety of lifestyle, portrait, fashion, food, and documentary work. 

He currently resides in Milwaukee with his wife, daughter and sassy dog. When he isn’t working, he is searching for the perfect cup of coffee, the best winding backroad to drive, and his next adventure.
